Associates in the Eudist Family
The figures and provincial name below are taken from Pierre Loiselle’s text published in 2019.
The Eudist Province, known as “North America and the Philippines,” comprises three regions: the Philippines, the United States, and our own, called the Eastern Canada Region. This includes Quebec City (53 members), Baie-Comeau (10), and Gatineau (9). The objectives and activities of the associates and friends revolve around the same core areas, primarily formation and spirituality, mission, and apostolate. And it is through mutual support and activities carried out together or separately that Eudist solidarity is fostered in a single, unified spirit of Family.
Eudist associates find in the thought, work, and mission of Saint John Eudes the inspiration that fuels their thirst for fraternity. This inspiration animates their need to pray and celebrate their faith; it motivates their zeal to carry out their mission, for their own salvation and that of the world.

Board of Associates
Consideration for others—as associates and as members of the community—is elevated to a new level: it is no longer good relationships, shared work, or other common interests that form the basis of the relationship, but rather a call from God. Recognizing the vocation of an associate calls for a change in perspective—shifting away from the pursuit of self-interest and focusing on God, who calls each and every one of us.
This Directory for Associates is a milestone in the life of the Congregation, which Jesus and Mary build, guide, and provide with what it needs to live. “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain” (Ps 126). It is up to each person to engage with the text, reading it in community or in a group, so that all may welcome with joy and enthusiasm God’s gift, to give thanks for it and to fulfill their vocation in the service of the Kingdom of God, following the example of Saint John Eudes.

Prayer for the Directory
Most Loving Hearts of Jesus and Mary
We entrust this Directory to Your mercy
the fruit of the collaboration, generosity, and foresight
of the associate members, friends, and collaborators of your Eudist Family
spread across every corner of the globe, from which rise to You
our gratitude, our joy, and our pride.
Daughters and sons of our Father through the grace of our baptism,
we walk the paths—sometimes rocky—of our lives
illuminated by the fiery words of love and the vibrant Gospel witness of Saint John Eudes, Your worthy servant and our inspiring model.
We pray that his charism may shape the course of our lives, that it may sustain our mission in the Church and in our world
so that the Kingdom of love, peace, and justice
that is so dear to your heart for all humanity.
This collection, which the Holy Spirit now entrusts to us to put into practice,
unites us to His plan of salvation, of which He is the master, the inspiration, and the guide
by drawing on the Beatitudes that Jesus gives us as his own guidebook,
intended solely to better accompany us along the paths of His Heart.
He invites us to unity, to brotherhood, to celebration in prayer, and to perfection in our lives—which is never so worthy and pleasing in Your eyes
than when Jesus Himself is formed within us and transforms us into Himself.
Live and reign within us; comfort us in our trials; guide us along the path of perfect imitation of Your Heart, full of mercy.
Support the efforts of the workers in Your Kingdom
for which we don the apron of service
as faithful missionary disciples of His Good News
according to Your Heart, for today and for all days to come.
